Písečná pláž cca 500 m od hotelu buď veřejná /zdarma/ nebo placená se slunečníky a lehátky. Pláže uklizené, voda čistá.
Stravasnídaně: stejné každý den - šunka,sýr, med, džem, sušenky, jogurt, pečivo, nápoje
večeře: předkrm - výběr z pěti jídel /těstoviny a polévky/
hlavní jídlo - výběr ze šesti jídel /každý den jiná jídla/
dezert - výběr /ovoce, zmrzlina, ovocný salát, zákusky/
Hotel má 3 patra, cca 5O pokojů, 2 výtahy. Pokoje s klimatizací a televizí. Úklid a výměna ručníků každý den.

The hotel Astra is located in Diano Marina - quite animatedly town in summer. The hotel is not so far from the main promenade street, but there is a grade-crossing, what could cause troubles the reaching of the hotel.
Diano Marina is very nice town with small streets fully with shops, small restaurants and cafes, many mopeds and bicycles. You have to keep calm as a driver where the bikes are going round you from every side and also as a pedestrian, as the cars don't stop when you step on the street. During the summer almost every Saturday takes place some event, so it is good to take a look at the posters for the coming events.
The hotel has a own parking, swim-pool, cafeteria, bikes for rent. The personnel is speaking English, German, French. There are many brochures for the area and the interesting places. Just the internet connection wasn't stable and didn't work well.
Generally we are satisfied with our vacation there.

Pláž
The beach is located on almost 10 min walking from the hotel through the centre. The sand strip is not so wide and there are almost everywhere (even as platforms in the sea) umbrellas and chaise longues, what are paid (expensive). The beach service including one umbrella and two longues is enough just for two persons, but what to do when we are three? We found very small area where is free of charge and where the native people are coming for sunbathing.
Traveling through Liguria we have been convinced that there the coast is very steep and there is no place for wide sand beaches, so we have been happy having this free zone and very nice shallow sea.
The Italian cuisine is wonderful - all was very tasty.
The breakfast was a little bit monotonous - one kind of ham and cheese, croissant, yogurt, biscuits, jam. It could be at least different type of hams and salami and cheeses.But we were OK with the menu.
The dinner was wealthy - a rich choice of different salads, then two main dishes again at choice from 10 variants, dessert also at choise.
All this could be accompanied with a bottle of wine or water, what is added to your bill to the room number. it is not cheap - the cheapest wine "Vino de la casa" is 11 euro. The good thing was that you can leave your bottle for next evening, if you don't drink it - it is marked for you.
Generally we have enjoyed to the Italian cuisine and we are satisfied.
The room was with one family bed and bunk beds. The upper bunk bed was up, but the lower bed was quite uncomfortable, as there was sleeping an adult. Probably for kids it is OK, but the hotel should consider also the possibility to offer a room with three normal beds.
The service such as cleaning and changing of towels and bed sheets was very good.
The furniture looks a little bit as from the socialism, but this is almost in all hotels there and when you place your stuff in the room, you bring a life there.
The hotel's personnel was very kind and friendly. The waiters also were speaking English.
The cleaning of the room is every day. The change of towels is always when you put the towel on the floor. The change of the bed sheets is in the middle of the stay (Tuesday). Always the beds were strained additionally.
The internet connection in the room was very poor, broken and for better connection was necessary to stay near to reception.
The cafeteria offers drinks and coffee, what is also added to the bill of the room.
All the bill is paid at the end when you leave and it's possible to be paid with a card.

Celkově máme z hotelu dobrý dojem. Co se týče destinace, nevěděli jsme, co čeho jdeme, a byli jsme vážně překvapeni - je to tam obrovské, naprostá většina Italů, zástupy lidí ve večerním městě...

Pláž
Pláže z našeho pohledu katastrofa - 95% pláží v letovisku je soukromých (s lehátky a slunečníky a cenou za set okolo 20 euro na den), na maličké veřejné pláži se budete cítit jako sardinky. Jinak pláž ve městě je písečná a čistá, my jsme ale podnikali pěší výpravy po pobřežní cestě do sousední Imperie, na jejímž začátku je hezká oblázková pláž.
StravaAž na výjimky stravování dobré, i když kulinářské zázraky nečekejte - prostě jako v každém podobném hotelu.
UbytováníVe výsledku všechno v pořádku, ale musíte si o všechno říct - konkrétně jsme nejprve byli ubytováni do pokoje, ve kterém bylo nakouřeno, bez problému nám ho hned vyměnili za jiný, dokonce prostornější. Také o spuštění klimatizace jsme si museli říct, i když je již zahrnutá v ceně, byla na recepci vypnutá. Pokoje jsou v dobrém stavu, vybavení odpovídá.

StravaStran večeří bez připomínek, ochota , pestrost i vydatnost, stran snídaní ubohost, každý den bez žádné obměny šunka, sýr, loupák, marmelády, med....navíc nedoplňovali spontánně , vždy až na výzvu
